Pressure Washing vs. Soft Washing
Pressure washing uses water volume and force to blast away dirt, grime, and organic growth. It’s effective for hard surfaces like concrete, pavers, and brick. However, the same force that cleans concrete can damage softer materials.
Soft washing uses low pressure (under 1,000 PSI) combined with cleaning solutions that kill mold, algae, and bacteria at the root. The chemicals do the work, and gentle water rinses everything clean. This method is essential for roofs, painted exterior walls, screens, and any surface that can’t withstand high pressure.
For most Tampa homes, the ideal approach combines both methods: soft wash for the house itself (walls, eaves, soffits, screens) and pressure wash for hardscapes (driveways, sidewalks, pool decks, pavers).
